What to Expect at a Permanent Jewelry Appointment

If you have booked your first permanent jewelry appointment with us, we are so excited for you. This is a service that becomes part of your everyday life, and we want you to walk in feeling completely prepared. Here is exactly what happens from start to finish.

Before You Come In

There is no real prep work required. You can wear whatever you like, do your normal routine, and just show up. We do recommend wearing something with sleeves you can easily move out of the way if you are getting a bracelet. Same for ankles. Necklaces are easy with anything.

Some clients like to look through our chain options ahead of time so they have a style in mind, but it is not required. We will walk you through everything when you arrive.

When You Arrive

We will greet you and get you settled. If this is your first visit to the studio in general, you will fill out a quick form so we have your contact info on file.

Step One: Choosing Your Chain

We bring out our chain selection so you can see and feel the options in person. We carry rings, bracelets, anklets, and necklaces in gold filled and sterling silver. You can also choose charms, including birthstones and initial letters. See all chain options on our service page.

This is the fun part. Take your time. Try on a few. We help you find the one that feels right for your style.

Step Two: Custom Fitting

Once you have chosen your chain, we measure it to your exact wrist, ankle, or finger. We want it to sit beautifully without being too tight or too loose.

This is custom to you, so the fit is perfect. There is no guessing or hoping the bracelet will fit like with traditional jewelry.

Step Three: The Weld

Now for the part everyone wonders about. We use a small device that creates a tiny pulse of electricity to weld the two ends of your chain together. It is painless, completely safe, and over in about a second.

Most clients say they barely felt anything. You will see a tiny flash of light and that is it. Your piece is now permanent.

Step Four: We Walk You Through Care

Before you leave, we go over how to take care of your new piece. Things like:

• How to clean it (dish soap and a soft toothbrush)

• What to avoid (heavy perfumes and lotions on the chain)

• What to do if it ever needs repair

• How to remove it if you ever want to

  
  

You can also wear it in the shower, the pool, and the ocean. It is completely water safe.

How Long Does the Appointment Take?

Plan for about 20 minutes for one piece. If you are getting multiple pieces or coming in with a friend, we add a little extra time so we never feel rushed.
