One of the best things about permanent jewelry is how low maintenance it is. You do not have to baby it. But a few simple care habits will keep your piece looking beautiful for years. Here is everything you need to know.

How to Clean Your Permanent Jewelry

Cleaning your piece at home is simple. Here is what we recommend:

Deep clean. Use a small amount of dish soap and a soft toothbrush or the spoolie from your aftercare bag. Gently scrub the chain, then rinse with water and pat dry with a soft cloth.

Polish. Use a jewelry polishing cloth to gently buff your piece and restore its shine. This is great to do every few weeks.

How often. A deep clean once a month and a polish whenever you want a little extra shine is plenty.

What to Avoid

There are a few small habits that will help your piece last longer:

• Avoid twisting or rotating your jewelry. The chain is delicate.

• Limit perfumes and lotions directly on the chain. Apply them before you put on your everyday outfit.

• Avoid harsh chemicals like bleach or chlorine when possible. A quick rinse after the pool is plenty.

Can It Get Wet?

Yes. Showering, swimming in the pool, and even wearing it in the ocean is fine. We do recommend a quick rinse with fresh water after the beach to wash off any salt.

If it snaps. Sometimes the chain catches on something and breaks. No big deal. Just come in and we will reweld it. Pieces from us are rewelded complimentary.

If you want to add a charm. We can add birthstones, initials, or other charms to your existing piece anytime.

If you want to take it off. You can clip it at home with nail clippers, or come in and we will do it for you. If you want it back later, just come in and we will reweld.
