How to Care for Your Brows After Lamination

Brow lamination is one of the most low maintenance beauty services. But how you care for your brows in the first 24 hours and the weeks after makes a real difference in how long your results last. Here are our best tips.

The Critical First 24 Hours
The first 24 hours after your appointment is when the lamination fully sets. To protect your results:
Do not get your brows wet (no showers near your face, no steam, no sweating)
Skip active skincare like retinol, AHAs, or chemical exfoliants
Do not rub or touch your brows
Sleep on your back if possible
Avoid heavy creams or oils near the brow area
Skip the gym, sauna, or hot yoga
This is the most important window. Be gentle and your lamination will reward you with the full 4 to 6 weeks.

After 24 Hours
You are mostly back to normal. You can wash your face, do your skincare, and apply makeup. A few habits will help your lamination last longer though. View all our brow services on our service page.
Daily Habits That Help
Be gentle with your brows. Avoid scrubbing or pulling. When washing your face, use a soft touch around the brow area.
Brush them daily. Use a clean spoolie to brush your brows up and into shape every morning. This is part of what gives them that polished look.
Apply skincare carefully. Avoid applying retinol, AHAs, or other actives directly on the brow area. These can break down the lamination.
Use SPF. Sun exposure fades both the lamination and any tint faster. A daily sunscreen helps everything last longer.
Avoid oil based products. Heavy oils and balms near the brow area can soften the lamination. Use lighter formulas in this area.
Things to Avoid
Active skincare ingredients on or near the brows
Hot saunas and steam rooms in the first 24 hours
Sleeping face down (it crushes the shape)
Excessive sun exposure without SPF
Picking, scratching, or rubbing
Tweezing or trimming between appointments
Products That Help
A few products help keep your brows looking their best:
GrandeBROW. Our favorite brow product. A 2 in 1 tinted brow gel and serum that fills and defines while also supporting fuller looking brows over time.
A clean spoolie. Keep one in your bathroom and one in your bag. A quick brush in the morning is all it takes to look polished.
Daily SPF. Even on cloudy days. Sun is the biggest enemy of any tint.

Travel and Vacation
If you have a vacation coming up, brow lamination is a vacation game changer. Just keep these in mind:
Get your service at least 48 hours before any swimming
Use SPF or wear sunglasses to protect your brows from sun
Bring your brow gel or GrandeBROW for daily styling
Avoid heavy oil based sunscreens directly on the brow area
Why Some Laminations Fade Faster
A few things can shorten your lamination:
A fast natural hair growth cycle
Heavy use of retinol or active skincare
Frequent saunas, steam rooms, or hot yoga
Sleeping face down regularly
Picking or tweezing between appointments
If your lamination is fading faster than 4 weeks consistently, let us know at your next appointment. We can adjust our approach to give you longer lasting results.
When to Rebook
Most clients rebook every 4 to 6 weeks. Some signs it is time:
Your brows are starting to look less polished
New growth is breaking the shape
Your tint has faded significantly
You are reaching for brow products more often
