What to Expect at Your First Lash Lift Appointment

If you have booked your first lash lift with us, we are so excited for you. A lash lift completely changes your morning routine and you walk out looking like you slept eight hours and curled your lashes perfectly. Here is exactly what happens at your appointment.

What Is a Lash Lift?
A lash lift mimics the effect of an eyelash curler, making your natural lashes look longer and beautifully lifted. Think curled lashes with mascara, without the daily hassle. Results last 4 to 6 weeks.
Your service includes lash prep, the full lash lift treatment, and your choice of tint or no tint. View all our lash services on our service page.
Before You Come In
There are a few simple things to keep in mind before your appointment:
Come with clean eyes and no eye makeup
Remove your contacts before the appointment
Skip mascara that day if possible
That is really it. No need to do anything special to prep your lashes.
When You Arrive
We greet you and get you settled on our treatment bed. If this is your first time at the studio in general, you fill out a quick form so we have your info on file.
For more on your first visit overall, read our What to Expect at Your First Visit to The Beauty Room & Co post.
Step One: Consultation
Before we start, we chat about what you want. Some clients want a dramatic lift. Others want a soft, natural curl. We also go over your tint options if you want to add one.
Our cream tint is included at no extra charge. We typically recommend black for a mascara like look. If you prefer no tint, that is completely fine too.
Step Two: Lash Prep
We cleanse the eye area and place silicone pads on your eyelids. These pads are what shape the lift, and we choose the size based on your lash length and the curl you want.
Then we comb your natural lashes up onto the pads. Your eyes stay closed the entire time, so it is genuinely relaxing. Most clients tell us they nearly fall asleep.
Step Three: The Lift
We apply a gentle lifting serum that softens and reshapes your lashes, followed by a keratin serum that locks the new shape in. Each step has a short processing time where you just lay back and rest.
If you chose a tint, we apply that next. It deposits soft color onto your lashes for a darker, more defined look.
Step Four: Reveal
We remove the pads and gently clean the area. When you open your eyes, you see the difference right away. Lashes that were straight or pointing down are now beautifully lifted, longer looking, and defined.
Many clients say their eyes look more open and rested. Like they got really good sleep.
How Long Does the Appointment Take?
Plan for about 50 to 60 minutes. It is a relaxing hour where you can just close your eyes and rest.
Does It Hurt?
Not at all. Your eyes stay closed and the products are designed to be gentle. You may notice your waterline feeling a little watery or itchy at times, which is completely normal. If anything feels off, just let us know.
After Your Appointment
Your lashes are lifted right away, but there is a 24 hour care window where you want to be gentle:
Avoid water and steam for 24 hours
Skip makeup around the eye area for 24 hours
Be gentle and avoid rubbing your eyes
After 24 hours, you are back to your normal routine

How Long Do Results Last?
Your lift lasts 4 to 6 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle. As old lashes shed and new ones grow in, the lift gradually fades. We recommend rebooking every 4 to 6 weeks for consistent results.
