Lip Blush

Lip blush is a form of permanent makeup that enhances your natural lip shape, symmetry, and color. A customized pigment is applied to add definition and conceal imperfections based on your skin tone and personal preference. Your lips will look like lipstick on the first day and soften as they heal into a subtle, natural looking lip tint. Add a little gloss or balm and your lips look beautiful 24/7!

Lip blush typically lasts 2 to 5 years, depending on your skin type and lifestyle. Yearly touch-ups are recommended for best results.

This is a specialized version of lip blush for clients with cool or dark-toned lips. Before adding color, we first neutralize and color correct the darkness to cancel out cool tones — then apply the lip blush color on top for the best results.

Clients with cool or dark-toned lips are able to have the lip blush procedure. However, we will have to color correct and neutralize the darkness in lips to cancel out the cool tones. If we are to tattoo any other color you risk darkening your lips further or having no results at all.  Please note that results cannot be guaranteed and lightening or evening out dark lips may take a few sessions.

Your esthetician will map and design the lip shape, apply a numbing cream, then deposit pigment into the lips. If neutralization is needed, a correcting pigment is applied first before the color. The full process includes a consultation, the service, and aftercare review.

Yes,  lips will appear very vibrant and slightly swollen immediately after. Color softens and lightens by 40-70% as they heal over 6-8 weeks.

Avoid alcohol, blood thinners, retinol, and excessive sun for 48–72 hours before. Do not get lip fillers within 4 weeks prior. Stay hydrated and exfoliate lips gently the day before. Come with no lip makeup.

Keep lips moisturized with the provided aftercare balm. Avoid water, sun, spicy foods, and kissing for the first 5–7 days. Do not pick or peel flaking skin.

A topical numbing cream is applied before and during the service. Most clients describe a mild scratching or vibrating sensation.

Yes, but lip fillers must be done at least 4 weeks before or after the lip blush appointment. Your esthetician will review this at your consultation.

Whether you are prone to cold sores or not, please be aware that Lip Blushing can cause a cold sore outbreak due to the simulation of the needle during the procedure. It is recommended to see your doctor for antiviral medication to prevent a cold sore outbreak. However, even with medication, a cold sore outbreak can happen. Getting a cold sore outbreak can cause the color/pigment to not retain and cause an uncomfortable healing process.

Lip blush is not recommended during pregnancy or while nursing. If you have questions, please consult your doctor.
